There lived a twentieth-century Czech photographer named Josef Sudek, also known as “The Poet of Prague”. His images are wonderful studies of light, form and composition. This image is strongly inspired by Sudek’s still-life image “Glasses and Eggs” (1951) and is intended as a modern-day tribute to the photographer. The challenge is to maintain a thread to the past while making best use of evolved technology and equipment. While we have sight, light will always fascinate.

Limited edition (90) fine art print from the artist’s Code 9 Series, a series of 9 photographs selected from his body of work to be featured for the first time at Vancouver’s 12th annual Mid Main Art Fair 0n June 9, 2024.

Produced with care using archival paper and pigment inks; 7.25″ x 9.625″ (Approx. 18cm x 24cm) plus border.
