This building was located just off the Trans Canada Highway on the Canadian Prairies in 1986. The architecture demonstrates the importance of shelter design adapting to the landscape. The wind and extreme seasonal temperature fluctuations make it necessary to build into the Earth. This image appreciates the beauty of mankind’s ingenuity and sense of aesthetic in the on-going struggle for survival and place under the power and scale of natural forces.
