Description
Anchored by Karen McCallum is an original painting and one of a series called “Rooted”. The series explores the connection between what lies unseen beneath the soil, the roots that are the tree’s life-sustaining foundation and its expansive, life-giving canopy.
The layering of transparent acrylic glazes creates a rich tapestry of interconnected roots. Karen uses a variety of tools to create  textural elements.
