Galleri SoHo: Bridging Continents Through Art, Design, and Innovation

Galleri SoHo, led by the visionary duo Ghada Zaky and John Risberg, has redefined what it means to be a global cultural institution. With its roots in Västerås, Sweden, the gallery has grown into an international platform for artists, designers, and innovators, earning a reputation for its bold vision and world-class exhibitions.

Galleri SoHo began its journey over seven years ago in Västerås, where it quickly became a cornerstone of the city’s artistic community. Known for its ability to blend art, design, handcrafts, and innovation, the gallery set itself apart as a hub for creative exchange.

In 2022, the gallery took a bold step by opening a location in Fuengirola, Spain, a vibrant cultural center that allowed Galleri SoHo to connect with an even wider audience. The expansion marked a new chapter in its mission to promote cultural dialogue on a global scale. However, the founders’ deep connection to Sweden and a desire to nurture their hometown’s artistic scene brought them back to Västerås, where they re-established their gallery at Valhallagatan 20, 72460.

Galleri SoHo’s ambitions don’t stop in Västerås or Fuengirola. The gallery is set to open a second location in Egypt, further solidifying its presence as a global tastemaker. Additionally, a prestigious pop-up exhibition is planned for Dubai in February, continuing a tradition of showcasing art in exclusive international venues.

Past pop-up exhibitions have included an event at Cornelis Schuytstraat 32 H, 1071JJ, Amsterdam, in the Zuid Museums Quarter, one of Europe’s most prestigious cultural districts. These events highlight the gallery’s ability to create meaningful connections between artists and collectors worldwide.

What sets Galleri SoHo apart is its innovative approach to fostering creativity. The gallery operates an online marketplace that connects artists, designers, and collectors from around the world. This platform extends the gallery’s reach far beyond its physical locations, creating a thriving global community united by a passion for art and design.

The gallery’s collective-based model is another defining feature. By collaborating with artists and designers from diverse backgrounds, Galleri SoHo has created a dynamic ecosystem where creativity flourishes, and cultural boundaries dissolve.

Galleri SoHo’s future is as ambitious as its past. In 2025, the gallery will host the third edition of the Västerås International Art Fair, an event that promises to attract global attention and position Västerås as a key player in the international art world.

For Ghada Zaky and John Risberg, Galleri SoHo is more than a gallery—it’s a movement.

Ghada Zaky adds, “Our mission is to inspire, innovate, and bring communities closer together through art, design, and craftsmanship. We are proud to represent talents from every corner of the world.”

Galleri SoHo invites art lovers, collectors, and innovators to visit its Västerås showroom and explore its expanding international presence. Whether in Sweden, Egypt, or online, Galleri SoHo continues to bridge continents and unite cultures through the universal language of creativity.
