Description

Una pareja ante la puerta de una iglesia, en un país latinoamericano. Ancestros, el título, alude a un homenaje a mis antepasados. La pareja de antes, en diferencia con la actual, posmoderna, estaba atravesada por el paradigma de la perdurabilidad. Debía ser para toda la vida, pasara lo que pasara. Estas figuras, frente a la iglesia que seguramente selló su unión, tomados de la mano, reflejando en la serenidad de sus expresiones, una larga vida juntos por detrás. Intento también reflejar un tipo de belleza diferente al estereotipo actual: aquí lo bello es simple, modesto, humilde. Quien la observa puede inferir una larga historia detrás, encontrar sus propias resonancias con la imagen y, creo sin equivocarme, sentir la ternura que hay en esas expresiones. Con el tiempo, el amor queda como una dulce ternura y un cálido cariño, en el mejor de los casos. En cuanto a lo formal, la obra mantiene mi estilo habitual: una paleta vinculada a la temática, que en este caso es rigurosa, tradicional, austera; figuración y realismo, con fuerte demarcación de las zonas de luces y sombras y pocas licencias en las tonalidades, ya que el tema alude a lo tradicional, no disruptivo. Espero que la disfruten, como yo lo hice al crearla.

2. Non-Refundable Items

We do not offer refunds for:

  • Change of mind or buyer’s remorse after a purchase is completed.

  1. Contact the seller through your Galleri SoHo account within 7 days of receiving the order.

4. Refund Approval & Processing
