Since childhood, art has been both my passion and my refuge, a space where emotions take shape and color. Throughout my journey, I have explored various techniques, dedicating myself especially to watercolor and oil painting, two mediums that have shaped my artistic voice. In my practice, dripping and blotching are not just technical tools but fundamental elements that breathe spontaneity and life into my work.

My art is defined by a continuous pursuit of abstraction within figuration, where the natural expressiveness of the characters plays a pivotal role. I am drawn to simplicity, yet I strive to capture the unique essence that surrounds each individual. From the beginning, I have been deeply fascinated by elderly people—their rich expressions and the stories their faces tell—forming a recurring theme in my work.

In 1994, while studying Graphic Design in Montevideo, I took a decisive step toward my passion for art by joining the workshop of renowned visual artist Sisto Pascale. Over four years, this experience allowed me to refine my skills in watercolor and later in oil painting, with a continued focus on the human figure and everyday life.

Life’s responsibilities and changes led me to balance painting with other commitments, but in 2004, I resumed my artistic studies in Colonia under the guidance of artist Fernando Fraga. This period deepened my connection to the human figure and reaffirmed my dedication to art.

Today, my work is inspired by the interplay of light with its surroundings, a phenomenon I seek to translate into compositions that capture both the physical energy of my subjects and the fleeting moments where life converges with art. I invite the viewer to pause, reflect, and discover the hidden beauty in everyday life—those moments often overlooked in the rush of our daily routines.
