Florian Wörrle, born in 1982 in Dillingen an der Donau, found his calling in art as a child. Even at kindergarden age, he was distinguished by his extraordinary creative talent, which earned him early recognition in the form of an art prize – a competition to which his grandfather had secretly submitted some of his works. This early experience laid the foundation for his lifelong passion for art.
Growing up in the picturesque surroundings of the northern bank of the Danube, Florian went to Karlsruhe to study fine arts, where he immersed himself deeply in the world of colors and shapes. During his studies, he began to develop his characteristic technique: a game with expressive paint applications and strong colors, which culminated in dynamic all-over structures. Florian’s innovative approaches broke with the traditional boundaries of conventional panel painting and created impressive, expansive works of art. His artistic career is characterized by a constant exploration and reinterpretation of visual forms of expression. The use of unconventional materials and techniques creates works of great color and tactile appeal that appeal to the senses and captivate the viewer. His works, which often consist of several layers and are created over the course of many nights, are a deep immersion in the complexity and possibilities of creative design.
Florian’s art radiates an unmistakable liveliness and intensity that is noticed and appreciated not only in Germany but also internationally. After studying in Karlsruhe and taking an inspiring trip through Asia, during which he got to know the diverse art forms and cultural wealth of other countries, Florian decided to make a radical change in his life. He withdrew from the hectic city life and found new creative inspiration in the idyllic tranquility of the Allgäu, a region in Southern Germany. There, surrounded by untouched nature, he now devotes himself primarily to his art. Florian Wörrle has made a name for himself throughout his career and his works of art have been well received at international exhibitions.

Florian Wörrle

In my artistic practice, I explore fundamental aspects of visual perception and materiality in order to create works that are simultaneously sensual and intellectually challenging. My art, a fusion of color objects and material images, uses formal languages that are both familiar and questioning. It plays with canonized imagery and debunks clichés by examining the theory of the image and its perception in our increasingly digitalized world.
Nature often serves as a source of inspiration for me, however, my works evade direct semantic interpretation. Instead, I play with analogies, structures and metaphors that hover between autonomous imagery and an illusion of referentiality. My way of working balances between spontaneous, experimental handling of materials and their meticulous processing, resulting in seemingly paradoxical structures that are attractive both in terms of color and feel.
My artistic goal is to emphasize the physical presence of art as a counterpoint to digital dematerialization. In doing so, I strive to establish a new relationship between material and visual representation. The works break with traditional forms of panel painting and develop into color objects that push into the space and directly appeal to the viewer through their physical presence. I counter the contemporary tendency towards dematerialization with the undeniable presence of the physical. My art, an act of freedom and childlike discovery, resists the excess of digital media and virtual spaces.
