Drawn to the world of art from an early age, he began experimenting with different techniques and materials in both painting and sculpture. Entirely self-taught, he held his first solo exhibition at a young age in Quito. This pivotal moment confirmed his passion for art, leading him to pursue his dreams beyond his homeland. Believing that the best way to learn the highest expressions of art is by studying masterpieces in major museums, Gardani embarked on a lifelong journey of artistic exploration.

Best known for his classic realism oil paintings, Gardani has also gained recognition for his vibrant Pop Art creations. His mixed-media approach includes printmaking, silk screening, collages of newspapers and old iconography, magazine clippings, stencils, spray paint, text, and hand-finishing with oils and acrylics. These elements come together to evoke nostalgia and unforgettable visual experiences. Despite his evolution into Pop Art and urban murals, he remains deeply connected to his initial love for Magic Realism, a style he has practiced for over three decades.

Gardani draws inspiration from the Old Masters, including Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, and Rembrandt, as well as from modern expressionists and abstract painters like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Joan Mitchell, and Richard Diebenkorn. While some of his paintings originate from his imagination and photographic references, he prefers working with live models, allowing him to capture the essence of his subjects in an authentic and dynamic way.

His artistic versatility spans a broad range of subjects, from Pop sculptures, still lifes, fruits, animals, and landscapes to contemporary abstracts, portraits, and his renowned figurative paintings. His colorful Pop-Urban Art and large-scale murals have also earned him widespread acclaim.

“My motivation to create art is not a luxury—it is a necessity for my well-being, more than the need for recognition or fame. I am driven by a deep inner satisfaction; it fills my head and my heart. My passion for creating art gives me fulfillment and joy in life.”

Gardani’s journey is one of relentless passion, exploration, and artistic innovation, ensuring his place as a dynamic force in the contemporary art world.
