Krista Simson

Krista Simson is a classically trained Estonian visual artist with expertise in the avant-garde style. She holds a degree in graphic art from the Estonian Academy of Arts.

Krista Simson is a member of the Estonian Artists’ Association and the Association of Estonian Printmakers. She is a resident of and is currently based in Estonia.

Krista’s works are printed, painted, or drawn on fabric. She employs a variety of techniques in her work, including printing, drawing, painting, and digit graphics. The variety of methods allows her to express her ideas in a large format while maintaining a light and playful aesthetic.

Simson’s work features large, brightly colored printed or painted surfaces. The artist explores the relationship between consciousness and unconsciousness, as well as the inner and outer self, as the main subject of her work. Simson’s innovative approach is evident, yet her classical training still shines through. Her work can be described as constructive and thought-provoking nature.
