Marc Wiers Dagnino

STATEMENT
The colorful Jungian* artist Marc Wiers Dagnino puts the human libido at the heart of his works. Wiers Dagnino wants to mirror our unconscious human pursuit of wholeness. He believes we want to liberate our ‘life drive’ (libido) by accepting all our inner personalities.
Every painted face he creates has this layered personality of emotions, fears, and expectations.
“It’s a great joy to let my subconscious tell me what to paint. There is hope and strength in our subconscious. It is our place of a deeper knowing, our dreams, and an unknown life force.”
*Jungians try to explore the theories of Swiss psychologist Carl Jung (1875 – 1961) and put them to work in their daily lifes.
