Self-taught and based in North Yorkshire, England, I developed my painting techniques in oils through tutorials and books.I spent my childhood surrounded by dogs and guinea pigs. It is not surprising that animals became a passion and a great source of inspiration. I will often go to zoos to take pictures and have a better understanding of each species. The creativity comes from the true love I have for animals. As Andre Gide once said “Each animal is a bundle of joy”.I have over the years been commissioned to do pets and wildlife. I am always trying to include a breath of emotion inside each portrait and to capture their soul within my work.Oils are my favourite medium. It gives me the ability to blend colours without having to rush. It also creates depth which is important when you paint the eyes.I have exhibited in the UK, Bermuda, France and Belgium.
