Greg Dow

Artist, Sooke, British Columbia

Greg Dow was born in Regina, Saskatchewan. He has lived from coast to coast in Canada, in the United States, and in Europe. Greg studied art and graphic design at York University, Cambrian College, and St. Lawrence College. The cultural insights gained through earning a degree in anthropology combined with a critical study of art history are important factors in his work. During five decades as a working artist, Greg has exhibited and held one-man shows in many galleries in Canada and abroad. He has had represention in well-known galleries in Halifax, Nova Scotia (Zwicker’s), Ottawa, Ontario (Wallack’s), Montreal, Quebec (Shayne Gallery), galleries in Toronto, Ontario in the past (e.g. Hollander York, Kinsman Robinson). Greg’s art can be found in many private and corporate Canadian collections such as Queen’s University, the City of Ottawa, and Sir Sanford Fleming College.
