Description
La mirada de esta niña oriental refleja ternura y también dolor. El título de la obra alude a que con esta imagen quiero representar a todos los niños y niñas que fueron muertos por el devastador crimen de la bomba que cayó sobre Hiroshima, Japón, en 1945. Pero no solo esas criaturas fallecieron, sino que miles y hasta millones de ellas, en todo el mundo, son víctimas de guerras, catástrofes naturales, abusos, maltratos, abandonos, genocidios, raptos, apropiaciones y otras formas de presentificar la muerte. Demarco bien nítidamente en esta obra la diferencia entre tonos cálidos y fríos, como aquello que marca la vida de criaturas víctimas: así como está aquello que destruye, también está lo que repara y protege. En este sentido, la obra pretender ser una metáfora de lo humano, en su permanente contradicción. En cuanto a lo formal, en esta pintura destaco mucho la fuerte demarcación de zonas con luces y sombras y, como digo más arriba, entre tonos cálidos y fríos en abierta contraposición. Intento generar un cierto malestar en la observación de la obra, como forma de salir de cierto confort que nos hace olvidar de lo que nos duele, como humanidad. Si algo de eso te produce, gracias por tu sensibilidad.
