Description
Left Hand was Leader of one band of the Arapaho tribe. The Town of Niwot Colorado is named after him. After the Sand Creek Massacre in 1864, he led his people south into what is now Oklahoma while others fled north to what is now the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. My home. The Arapaho people are now effectively 2 tribes the Northern and the Southern Arapaho.
