About the artist

Hellen WM Söderberg was born in Sweden but has been living and loving life in Taiwan since 2005.  She fell in love with the creative process of acrylic painting in 2021.

She is a self-taught contemporary artist with an undying passion for everything beautiful – especially when it comes to color and texture.

Hellen started out purely bringing abstract ideas to the canvas. Always evolving, her work moved in a new direction with her exhibition “New Friends” (Taipei 2022) Hellen introduced the figurative images that had begun to emerge in her abstract paintings. “I saw things, mostly faces … now I let them come to life, and if I like them, I let them stay.”
