The Owls Symphony is a semi-abstract, art nouveau, magical realism style oil painting of a white owl with a flower meadow behind her. It is 36x30x1.5 inches. The Owl is a white barn owl and she glides over the meadow in that mysterious way that owls do. There are sinuous lines of white energy flowing out from her which echo the movements she is making with her silent wings. She is a beautiful predator. The background is blurred and hints at a summer meadow with wildflowers and trees at the edge of the field. The owl is painted in thick paint to further emphasize the contrast between her and the background. She appears to float on the canvas in an act of classic owl gracefulness. This painting is a tribute to wildlife and birds everywhere – they never cease to make me happy when I come across them on one of my walks. Painted on deep edge canvas, edges white.
